It’s Almost Time For Another Adventure..

That’s right, a new adventure awaits. After almost a year of hard work, living in the big smoke we have decided to pack up and get outta the country once again.

This time…. Indefinitely.

And where better to start this adventure than back where my passion for travel began.

I N D I A.

The novelty of London has worn off. Although the time we have spent here was needed, – we always wanted to spend some time living in the city, experience city life as a young couple – the work hard/play hard lifestyle has exhausted us and I yearn for adventure once again.

My gypsy soul is restless and ready to explore…

We are finally trading the packed, sweaty tubes for the deafening and chaotic streets of India. The busy, fast-paced city life for a more relaxed, “same-same but different” life.

We have less than 30 days to catch up with all our loved ones before we go and taking flight the day after boxing day. Starting our New Year in the very best way.

With intentions set, no specific plans, a ukulele and itchy feet. It seems 2018 has a lot in store for The Taynes…

I love India also, but you should be aware of the serious air pollution problem going on over there. Check the air pollution levels and avoid anywhere that is hazardous. I was recently there and we had to cancel our trip and leave. It cost us a lot of money to change flights and my husband is still recovering from a lung infection as a result of breathing the toxic air. Just avoid Delhi and north India, stick to the south!

Here’s a recent article about Sri Lankan cricket players vomiting due to the polluted air in India! I wrote some articles on my blog too. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/dec/05/sri-lankan-bowler-suranga-lakmal-vomits-in-delhi-cricket-match-polluted-air

I am sure that India will balance your need for a new adventure. I’ve been postponing a trip to India for a long time because I still consider it a too big adventure for me. But step by step I am moving close to it. I like the expression My gypsy soul is restless and ready to explore. It reflects very well the quintessence of travelling.
